New Teen

Hello my scrappy friends!!  A quick post for you today, the 29th of February!  Is this a special day for you?  Not for me, just another day but still, pretty cool since it's only every four years!

This LO is inspired by Sketch in Thyme sketch #408.  I changed a bit from the sketch by adding some pps in between the pictures but the design can still be seen. I'm loving my new Tim Holtz distress spray stains to ink up my background!

This LO will also be entered into the Bitten by the Bug 2: for the men in our lives challenge.   As always, you must use your Cricut in some way.  I used my All Mixed Up cartridge for the title.

A little side note....  These pps are from a DCWV Little Mister stack that my son bought for me this past  Christmas.  He and a friend went Christmas shopping, where this "new teen" pictured drove since he is now 17 years old, used his own money to buy presents for me, his dad and his sister.  Time goes by so fast!

Great Gift

Hello my scrappy friends!  I finished this LO the other day but had some technical difficulties.  My son and husband to the rescue!

Here is my LO that was inspired by a sketch from Soul Scrappers sketch #141 challenge.  I went to town using my mixed media new inks~rusty hinge and cracked pistachio!  some package technique, splatters and stamping pulled it all together!

Sketch from the blog.....

be awesome - Soul Scrappers

Hello my scrappy friends!  Happy 3 day weekend in honor of Presidents Day!  We actually had a 4 day weekend since school was closed to students on Friday.  My high schoolers are loving not much homework and being able to stay up late each night and sleep late each morning!

Today I finished a layout I started the other day.  My two kids, of course since I don't scrap about many others, at the lake in 2014.  Here they are just laying on their surf boards, chatting.  So happy they still are such good friends!

This layout will be entered in Soul Scrappers challenge, Tic-Tac-Toe #56.  I used the top row of washi tape-arrows-stamping.   This challenge lasts until March 6 so you have plenty of time to join!!

Cool Kids - Soul Scrappers

Hello my scrappy friends!!!  On this cold and rainy day, I decided to scraps some summer pictures of my kids!!  I pulled out some neglected supplies to create this...some buttons, glitter dots, stickers and vellum!

This LO was inspired by Soul Scrappers Survivor February challenge.  This month we are challenged to scrap a page referencing water.  I think being in the lake water qualifies for this challenge!!  To make our LO more "watery" we had options....

Waves - paper
Raindrops
Bubbles (Bubble wrap)
Steam (misting)
Splashing (Splatters)
Paint or ink drips
Smooching (paint or ink)

I used the twine to replicate waves;  misting, sparkling glitter dots and ink splatters for water droplets.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting!!
