Teaching

Hello again my scrappy friends!

Onto another Sketch-N-Scrap 8th Birthday Celebration sketch.  This one was posted on FB on 5/2, challenge #1.

This was Christmas season 2013 or 14.  Our son was teaching our daughter the technique of using zip ties to hand our stocking.

And Learning

Hello my scrappy friends!  Happy Memorial Day!  I always feel strange saying "happy" for this holiday.  It's happy for us due to those who died.

This LO was taken from Sketch-N-Scrap 8th Birthday Celebration!  I am using challenge #10 from FB.  I turned the sketch to fit my landscape pictures.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  On to create other LOs...this celebration ends next Sunday, 3/31.

What a Day

Hello my scrappy friends!

I made a LO all in one day!  Usually it takes me a few days since I just get pulled away for whatever reason.  This one was pretty easy, no Cricut cuts which always saves time.  Some ink, sprays, cutting and distressing some papers and it was done!

I'll be entering my LO into these challenges!  Check them out since you still have a couple of weeks to enter!

Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge BlogShopping Our Stash #420 - Oh the Places You'll Go.  This is a travel theme.  Well, this may be a stretch, but you can travel on a surf board!  It may not be a long distance, but according to my kids paddling in the lake is far enough!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!  Till my next LO, stay safe!

Sweet 16th Card

Hello my scrappy friends!

Thursday is my daughter's Sweet 16th birthday!!  I bought her some balloons today, will make her a chocolate cake with chocolate icing tomorrow and buy some taco bell for dinner...per her requests!  We'll do a house party call with grandparents, cousins, aunt and uncles while she blows out the candles and opens her gifts!  Little by little for the past two weeks we've received cards and  packages and one of her friends will drop gifts off tomorrow!  I hope to get a picture of them, 6 feet apart of course!

Here is my card for my daughter.  She loves flowers and cacti and has several in her room...coming up with the card was easy!

I used the sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap's 8th Birthday Bash, sketch #169.

This card will also be entered into STAMPlorations never-ending challenge.
I've used one of their stamp sets, Succulently, for the front sentiment and inside stamp.  The flowers on the card are cut from Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge, the numbers from Base Camp....so I'll be entering the Bitten by the Bug 2 blog for Flowers!
