11th birthday

Hello my scrappy friends!  I hope everyone is enjoying their three-day weekend!  some snow here on the east coast but not where I live...kinda thankful for that.

Here is a layout I just created for a few blogs, featuring my son's family birthday party.  I opened a new paper pack, That's My Boy by Echo Park that I received for Christmas.  The colors worked well but that blue banner sheet....the sports theme on it I'm not loving but it's a completed LO!

I'll be submitting this LO into these challenges:

Soul Scrappers - Birthday Bash #2.  You must include "happy birthday", a banner and a number.

Awesome Memories...Laugh

Hello my scrappy friends!  Thank God for weekends and adult beverages!  It's been that kind of a week.  I'm sure next week will be so much better!!

Today, I'm sharing a layout I made of our son's 11th birthday.  We always have a family party for our kids with aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.  But on their actual birthdays, we have a little party for them ...just parents and siblings.  Heck, we do that for me and my husband too!  This year when he turned 11 years old, Declan was in boy scouts, learning "man" things so the best gift he received was this pocket knife!  He whittled for hours, and for so many years after this.

This LO was created foremost for my GDT submission at Lasting Memories challenge #429 -
Use Trims - Ribbon, Lace, Paper Strips, or Washi Tape  I used three pieces of different Washi Tapes underneath my pictures.
"Lasting Memories" Scrapbook Layout Challenges

I'm also submitting this LO into these challenges:
Creative Inspiration - Thursday Stash challenge, 1/10/19

Shopping Our Stash - #385 - Winter Blues.  My LO isn't winter blues, but I've mostly blues for my patterned papers and embellishments.

Shooting Practice - LM #428

Hello my scrappy friends!  This was the week we went back to school, just 3 days but it felt like two weeks!  So hard to wake up in the morning and go through our daily routine, but we made it to the weekend!  I slept pretty well and my kids are still sleeping at 8:15am!  So different when my daughter wakes at 5am and my son finally drags himself out of bed by 6am for showers!  Enough about sleep, if I keep talking about it, I may just go back to bed!

This week for my Guest Designer assignment at Lasting Memories, we had to use bling, buttons, brads, sequins or enamel dots for challenge #428.  On my layout, I used enamel dots, eyelets and nuvo drops.

Take a look at the challenge this week at Lasting Memories and use your stash!!  thanks so stopping by and commenting!  Have a wonderful weekend!!
