Encouragement

Hello my scrappy friends!  Here we are in April and there are flowers starting to sprout, trees are beginning to show their leaves and the heavens are dumping some pretty white snow on us!!  My eleven year old daughter says, as she is walking to her friends house, "I guess this is global warming?".  Who knows what is going on outside, I know that the flowers with snow on them are quite pretty!  Sort of brings us to my card.
My daughter's school play is next week.  This year she decided to play a role behind the scenes as part of the stage crew rather then being on the stage.  I love that she tries new things often even if she doesn't enjoy them as much as she anticipated!  This is the case with stage crew...she is a little bored having to be at every practice.  There is only so much the crew can do each week while the actors are learning their lines.  But, it's a new experience to fill her memories!  Isn't that one of the things that make life so wonderful?  New experiences and memories!
Here is a card I made for her showing my happiness at her willingness and  tenacity for new things.  We are so proud of her!

This card is has been made from patterned papers from my stash, Cricut's Art Philosophy for the flowers, Tim Holtz and SU! inks and Stamplorations for the stamped sentiment.  I am entering into the following challenges...go check them out!

Always Playing with Paper - Challenge #67, a sketch

Scrapping4funChallenges - Challenge #62, anything goes

Share Joy Challenge - sketch and inspiration photo - I was inspired by the sketch and the flowers in the photo.

Stamplorations April CAS - optional use of the color green  Not sure is this really is a CAS card but I used the color green and brand new Stamplorations stamps!

Thanks for checking out my card and these fabulous challenges!  All comments welcomed :)
Have a fabulous Saturday!!

Rainbow Birthday card

Hello my scrappy friends!  I totally forgot about a friend's birthday, YIKES!  I can get this card into the mail and it will get to her on time. Whew!

I used a challenge from Fun Cuts by Jen using the letter R for rainbow.  I chose to used a variety of colors that can be found in a rainbow.  The colors are Stampin' Up! and Tim Holtz distressed colors.  The flower looking stamp is from CTHM (die cut) and the sentiment is from SU! (also a die cut from CTMH, Art Philosophy).

I also am entering this card into the Curtain Call: Neon Nicknacks challenge.   The colors of the rainbow in the flower are neon but the photo doesn't do it justice.    2 Creative Chicks challenge is anything goes so I'm entering this card here too!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comments~
