Travel in Time

Hello my scrappy friends!!  Here is a layout I made quicker then usual for me.  A nice little grid LO, using up some embellishments I found while cleaning up a corner of my desk.

I'll be entering this LO into a few blog challenges.  The sketch is from Rochelle Spears Scrapbooking April Sketch.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Scrap with Stacy.  I used 5 pp - circles - bling.

Walking on Sunshine

Hello my scrappy friends!  I pray that all of you and your family and friends are staying safe!!

My LO today was inspired by Sketches In Thyme sketch #414.

I used, pretty successfully, some inked embossing or molding paste!  I love how it turned out!  Apparently it's not as hard as I convinced myself it was going to out!!  I see so many ladies using their stencils, making such beautiful LOs and cards, I thought why can't I do this too!  Well, now I can!

I stuck pretty much to the sketch, less layers, added things. but I'm sure you can see how it was inspired.

Thanks for checking in and commenting!   Enjoy whatever day this is becauseI've lost track!!

Nerd Alert

Hello my scrappy friends!  I hope everyone is surviving the best they can during this pandemic.  Our township schools are closed until further notice.  Not too encouraging that's for sure.  I'm so very glad though that my kids, high schoolers, can get their work done and still "learn" a bit.  Exams will prove to be interesting this year!

Besides painting room, cleaning and cooking, I'm scrapping a bit.  Here is a LO I just completed, Nuvo drops are still wet, for Scrap Our Stash Sketch Challenge.  The challenge is to use plaid patterned paper and wood on your LO.  My plaid is the tag in the lower right corner and the wood are the mushrooms.  I inked them trying to replicate the colors of my kids shirts.

I had lots of fun pulling papers, inks and embellishments!  I really like the ink in the background using my new distressed oxides!

Just a side note....I don't wear glasses, obliviously my kids do.  My husband had lasik surgery so he doesn't wear them any longer.   We are a very joking, make fun of each other family, so of course I can jab everyone for having to wear glasses since I don't.  This picture was taken a few years ago.  I still don't wear glasses (yea!!), my husband needs readers and my kids wear contacts most of the time.  But I still make fun of everyone for having bad eyesight.  I should stop though since my sight isn't as good as it used to be....I can't wait for the jokes they will throw at me!!

This challenge runs for a few more days so you have time to join!

Explore Your World

Hello again my scrappy friends!

Here is a LO I created for Lasting Memories #487 - mix and match pps and Sketches In Thyme #412 for their sketch.  I moved the first picture up a bit to fit all three.  I like it this way...makes the entire waterfall stand out.  It's so beautiful!

These pictures are of me and my kids while vacationing in the Poconos in 2013.  I used CTMH papers and stamps from my stash.

Have a lovely day!

Spring Birthday Card

Hello my scrappy friends!  Since it's been so nice outside, flowers starting to sprout along with some green grass, I made a card using some spring colors!  The Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #55 helped me with a great challenge!  I used the diagonal from upper left to lower right - polka dots, stencil and green.

I was able to use several scraps to make this card.  This challenge ends tomorrow so you have time to get a card made!

Stay safe my friends and wash your hands!!

BoyWonder - Soul Scrappers

Hello my scrappy friends!

Soul Scrappers has a LO lift challenge (#77) that I really liked, so I'm entering with this LO.  As always, mine is a tad different from the original but I'm sure you can see the resemblance.

I love ripping and distressing papers so this was right up my alley!  I tried to use some ugly (to me) papers to match and curtains.  I pulled the green and tan colors from the plaid couch with some of my papers too.  All in all, I like this LO enough to not pull it apart and start over, as I had in the beginning!

Stop by Soul Scrappers, sign up, and get involved with so many different challenges each month!

New Teen

Hello my scrappy friends!!  A quick post for you today, the 29th of February!  Is this a special day for you?  Not for me, just another day but still, pretty cool since it's only every four years!

This LO is inspired by Sketch in Thyme sketch #408.  I changed a bit from the sketch by adding some pps in between the pictures but the design can still be seen. I'm loving my new Tim Holtz distress spray stains to ink up my background!

This LO will also be entered into the Bitten by the Bug 2: for the men in our lives challenge.   As always, you must use your Cricut in some way.  I used my All Mixed Up cartridge for the title.

A little side note....  These pps are from a DCWV Little Mister stack that my son bought for me this past  Christmas.  He and a friend went Christmas shopping, where this "new teen" pictured drove since he is now 17 years old, used his own money to buy presents for me, his dad and his sister.  Time goes by so fast!
