Christmas Sketch-N-Scrap card

Hello my scrappy friends!  Working stinks I have to say!  I really miss making cards and LOs on a regular basis but I was able to create just about 70 Christmas cards and they were in the mail before Christmas!!  I used this sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap to make a card for a co-worker.

I was able to use several paper scraps and a missed stamp set (SU! Delicate Details) and an edge die (STAMPlorations Art Edges) to create this card. so much fun using so many different supplies!

Happy New Year everyone!  You have my prayers for a healthy and happy 2022!

Stick It Down Birthday Card

Hello my scrappy friends!  Happy Thanksgiving!  I've started a real full time job in our local middle school as a secretary in the nurses' and guidance offices.  The responsibilities are more then I had expected but I'm getting there.  It's nice to have a regular pay check once again after 17 years of not working full time!

I was asked by my nieces to make birthday cards for their mom, my sister.  Below is one of the cards inspired by the Stick It Down card challenge.  I used some pps from a fall stack that are a little busy, but after cutting and inking them, I kinda like it!  I fussy cut the feathers from a retired CTMH stamp set.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

Never Too Old

Hello again my scrappy friends!  I'm on a role today.  Made a card and now a LO!

This LO is of my daughter at my sister's house for Easter this year...hunting for eggs!  I have so many other pics to scrap from Easter but these two fit the sketch from Sketches In Thyme #482 sketch and challenge #562 from Lasting Memories, using option number 2 - line up your photos across your LO.

I used so many long forgotten supplies---stickers, rub-ons, paper, my cricut.  Its a great feeling to use what I have!

12th birthday card

Hello my scrappy friends!  It's been a while since I've posted...it's been a while since I've created.  I start a full time job tomorrow.  I haven't worked full time in 17 years, little nervous here.  We recently moved out son to college, another big life thing.  Lastly, our daughter begins her senior year of high school later this week.  Lots of big changes in my life, feeling a little overwhelmed but excited nonetheless!

To help my nerves, I squeezed in some time to make a card for my nieces 12th birthday party this weekend. I used the sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap blog #200

KRSD 2021

Hello my scrappy friends!

Here is a layout of me and my kids the afternoon of my son's high school graduation in June.  I used the challenge at Scrap our Stash, August 2021 Remix to create my layout.

Here is my layout, using several scraps of pp and a new die cut for the red pieces.

The challenge is to use this layout as a scraplift, using diagonal patterned paper.  My paper is the photo mat.

This challenge is brand new, ending August 29th at midnight (PST).

Thanks for stopping by,

Jennifer

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello my scrappy friends!  A quick LO today with lots of different lines of papers and stamps and stickers and Nuvo drops!  My desk is an absolutely mess but I had fun creating!

I was inspired by Rochelle Spears and  Scrap with Stacy for the June 2021 Scrap with Friends challenge.

I used Stacy's tic-tac-toe board and Rochelle's sketch.  I used the middle column: date stamp, quote, corrugated cardstock.

Thanks for much for stopping by and commenting!

Hello Sunshine

Hello my scrappy friends!  My kids friend's 18th birthday is today...they let me know last night!  My daughter and I will drop off this card to her today, probably in the mailbox.

Thankfully Sketch-N-Scrap blog has a great sketch, #196, that I used to make this card!  Nice pps, some stickles and die cuts from SU!, a card has been made!

Theme, Photo Prompt & Sketch card

 Hello again my scrappy friends!

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law recently celebrated their 2 year wedding anniversary, so I made and mailed a card.  Nice little surprise for them when coming home from vacation!

I entered the STAMPlorations Theme and Photo Prompt Challenge, and  used STAMPlorations stamps, Mixed Media Elements, for the messy lines at the top and bottom of the white pp and bottom of the green pp.

I also used Sketch-N-Scrap card sketch #195 to create my card.   I cut flowers from a retired SU! stamp/die cut set, Beautiful Bunch, and stamped some leaves from the set as well.  Patterned papers are from SU! too.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  Both of these challenges are open till the end of the month.

Anniverary Card

 Hello my scrappy friends!

My sister and brother-in-law celebrated 16 years of wedded bliss almost two weeks ago!  Of course, created and mailed a card...and it even got there before their anniversary!!

I was inspired by the Stick It Down card sketch this month.

 My card:

According to a bing search for a 16th wedding anniversary, these are some colors to use:
The 16th wedding anniversary is also associated with the gemstones peridot and aquamarine. Gifts made of or embellished with topaz are good if you want to give a traditional 16th anniversary gift.

I used the said colors through out this card and I really love the result!  I pulled out some papers  that have been in my stash for a while as well the stamps, retired from SU!

Graduation Card

 Good morning my scrappy friends!

My son graduated high school this past Friday.  Sigh...went so fast!  I made a card for him of course.  I used my Cricut cartridge Opposites Attract for the word "grad" which is cut in 4 different colors and stacked three times.  The graduation cap was cut from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up.

I'll be entering my card into the challenges at Bitten By the Bug: For the Guys.

Think Positive

 Hello again my scrappy friends!!

I had some time this morning to complete this LO...came together rather quickly.  In 2014, my son as his first time being  vacation bible school co-leader.  He loved it and continued every summer until last due to coronavirus when everything was shut down.  No VBS again this summer, fingers crossed for next summer.

This LO will be entered in Lasting Memories Challenge #548, Color Inspiration #3.

LM #548 - Color Inspiration #3 - create a layout using the following colors on your layout. Neutral colors (black, white, and kraft) are always welcome!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  This challenge continues till the end of the month, enter your LO soon!

Sweet Girl

Hello my scrappy friends!  I've been working for the past 5 months full time even though I'm a substitute secretary!  Little crazy but the money is a nice bonus as our son will be going off to college as a freshman in August...so crazy it has happened so fast!  I have a few cards and LOs I hope to add to my blog and online challenges since I've found some time this afternoon to post!

Up first, my daughter at 3 months old and my sister during my son's 2nd birthday party in 2004.  I used Lasting Memories #547, Color Inspiration #2 challenge.

LM #547 - Color Inspiration #2 - create a layout and use the following colors on your layout. Neutral colors (black, white, and kraft) are always welcome!

I found the perfect pps and colors to match my daughter's dress...and this challenge!   This challenges is open for another week, you should check it out!

Napping with Doggie

Hello my scrappy friends!  Happy iNSD weekend!  I didn't get as many LO's completed as I wanted, not that I had a number since I'm a pretty slow scrapper, especially when home.  I did get two LO's completed yesterday so I'm happy...I did lots of other house things throughout the day too!

My sweet girl from years ago, no idea of the year but before 5th grade since that is the last time she had that sweatshirt!  I think she wasn't feeling well this day and her cheeks do look a little red so I'm thinking fever.  Doesn't matter now, just look how cute she is napping on the couch with her trusted doggy.

This LO was inspired by Rochelle Spears May sketch challenge and Stacy's Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.

I love this sketch, just different from what I usually create!  And the tic-tac-toe board is fantastic!  I used the first column, polka dots (stencil)-stickers-(flowers)-banner.  My stencil dots are Tim Holtz dot fade and the flowers stencil are STAMPlorations blossoming mini.

I love how this LO was created!  Kinda different for me but but I love using my supplies and being inspired by some challenges.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  Have a fabulous week!

Yessss

Hello my scrappy friends!

I created this LO of my kids playing with some brand new water guns years ago!  They played for hours so many days and for years.  Now that they are older, if they are in the pool together or with friends, these guns come out!  Of course, I can't take pictures of them and their friends...not cool mom!

I played with my Tim Holtz Distress Oxides and water....soooo much fun!!  I used various stamps from STAMPlorations and the sketch is from Lasting Memories #543.

Oh Shoot!

Hello my scrappy friends!  It's been a while since I've posted or really created anything.  Feels good to be back this weekend!

I created this LO for two blog challenges:  Scrap Our Stash April Sketch and Lasting Memories #542, Word Play.

I found a box kit with album and papers and embellishments, unopened, in my stash...so I opened it and started looking for pictures. Two pictures here, both of my son, in 2013 and 2016, learning to shoot a pistol and a rifle.  I'm amazed at how much he grew in 3 short years, from a kid to a young teen.

I used the sketch from Scrap Our Stash, and must use an arrow, and an ingredients challenges using the work EASTER from Lasting Memories.  The ingredients I used were: E-extreme sport, embellishments; A-arrows; S-stickers; T-tags; E-ephemera; R-red.   Here is the sketch:

Explore Nature

Hello once again my scrappy friends!  I've finally completed this LO...it's been sitting on my desk for weeks.  Just never could get it together to finish...too tired, running out, who needed me for something...cleaning and cooking!

I used this fantastic sketch from Scrap Our Stash, March 2021 Sketch Design.  I loved the use of washi tape since I have so much, I only used a little, but a little is better then none!  I opted for 3 pictures rather then the four indicated on the sketch but my three work fine!

My layout:

I added some stenciling, embossing, inking and stamping!  My desk was a complete disaster!...but it was fun creating!

Oh snap!

Hello my scrappy friends!  Kuddos to those of you who work, have a family, take care of the house, etc and create.  I've been working for the past 1.5 months and am having a hard time finding the energy and time to make cards and LOs, let alone remember to post to my blog or Instagram!

Here is a card I made for someone's birthday...I think my nieces 8th birthday!  My brain is fried!  Cute crab embellie made using my Cricut for my cute niece!  I love the card sketch from Stick It Down.

Blow Out the Candles

Hello my scrappy friends!  I hope your weather is being nice to you...it's so not nice in too many places!

Using the second sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap, #219  this month, I created my LO with every little effort...after choosing the papers!  That is usually the hardest step in creating for me.

I was able to dig out old pps, ribbon, brads, twine...It's great feeling to shop my stash!

You have a few more days to  create your own LO to enter!

Thanks for stopping by,

Nature is Calling to Explore

Hello my scrappy friends!  It's been a while since I crafted a layout and I've missed it!

I was inspired by Sketch-N-Scrap #216 sketch.  I had three pictures to make this one happen!  My son ages ago climbing the tree in my parents backyard.  I'm thinking he was 4 or 5 and is now 18 years old...so yes, ages ago!  I'd give anything to go back that's for sure.  Climbing trees is so much better then applying for colleges!

See?  Great sketch!  I used a die from STAMPlorations to make some tags for my jouraling in place of the stars.  I dug out some inks, stencils, stamps and scraps of pps to create this LO.  I'm loving it...which is so nice since lately I haven't loved what I've been creating!

You have one more day to enter Sketch-N-Scrap challenge but of course, you can keep this sketch in your arsenal of sketches!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  Have a fantastic weekend!!
