Hello my scrappy friends! Our kitchen is being painted this week...started today, ends on Wednesday. lots of prep work though first and that is a lot of today. To say out of the way, I'm scrapping away in the basement while my kids play, currently taking a break on their phones.
My layout of my grandma from December 2014. As you can clearly see, she turned 96 years old when this photo was taken. We were just about to go out to dinner to celebrate! Now 98 years old, she was in the hospital for just about 2 weeks. She is home now with a huge contraption for oxygen. We are hoping we can celebrate her 99th birthday in a few months.
I used a few stamps from my stash, some ink drops from spray ink bottles and several pieces of patterned papers...I think most were Simple Stories. I used my "George and Basic Shapes" Cricut cartridge for the star. This layout will be entered into Sketch-N-Scrap blog challenge #133.

Have a lovely day~

Comfy Reading
Hello my scrappy friends! A quick entry today as we wait for a new dishwasher to be delivered...any minute now!
Here are some pictures of my daughter reading on her beanbag chair - we just threw it away :( as it started getting holes! - a few years ago. Miss the days when both of my children would sit and read for at least an hour each day.
I'm entering my LO into the Let's Get Sketchy July 1st Sketch and Mood Board challenge. I have 3 photos rather then 4 and the mood board elements are the red and blue colors.
Thanks for checking out my page and commenting!

Hey, Friend
Hello my scrappy friends! A quick card here for you today. Recently a scrappy friend and her 17 years old daughter lost their husband and father. I'm still reeling from the loss, the anguish, the loss of words for them. I find myself worried beyond belief when my husband travels, which is often. I find myself hugging longing and expressing my love for others often, especially my kids, who I think, are getting a little tired of the love. Teens, you know! But I think they understand, for which I am most grateful.
I've finally decided upon a card, colors, sentiment for a card to express my love for my friend. I've used SU! stamps Orange Blossom, SU! Fresh Flowers pp and SU! Ombre Ribbon. Finally using some SU! stash!
I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
Stick it Down - card challenge - card sketch
Sketch-N-Scrap - card #101 - card sketch
Always Playing with Paper - Challenge #90 (Inspirations) - The flowers and colors were my inspiration...just so pretty!!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Make sure to love and hug your family as often as possible, you won't regret it!

Anniversary Card
Hello again my scrappy friends! My sister and BIL's wedding anniversary was a few weeks ago. We are a family who likes to drink alcohol! We drink for several occasions....birthday parties, holidays. As I'm writing this I'm thinking people will think we are drunks! We are not, I assure you! My dad and my husband have been know to make their own beer from time to time. Dad, Hubby and BIL have been known to travel throughout NJ looking for different beers. When my husband travels for work, he is always sure to bring home some new beers to taste! Its fun tasting new things! I encourage you to try something new!
Anyway, to my card. Anniversary....another time to drink, I mean celebrate!! This card was made with scraps I had in my stash and SU! Mixed Drinks stamp set!
I'll be entering this card into these challenges:
Fab Friday - Challenge #115
This is the sketch I used for my card:

Turning 5
Hello my scrappy friends! Today I'm sharing a layout I made the other day celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday. Seems so long ago....she is now 13. I assume those of you with teens, even newly turned, understand my anguish! I really don't know what happened! My sister had a 4th of July party on Sunday. My daughter was in the pool and as I walked past the window from inside the house, I had to take a step back to see who was in the pool! Surely it wasn't my baby girl?!? My BIL mentioned to someone else about seeing my daughter in the pool...what neighbor girl is that? She definitely has changed through out the years but absolutely the most this past year. Sigh...I miss my babies!
OK, time to turn back time to her 5th birthday party!! Such fun times! Seems as though this year she received most of what she wanted and her smiles show how happy she was!! Cricut cartridge Mickey Font was used for the title, various paper scraps, stickers and gems for decoration.
This LO will be entered into the following challenges:
Bitten By The Bug: Red, White and Blue (or Patriotic) - All of the colors were used for this LO!
Use Old paper from you Stash - All of the papers, stickers, gems are old....stickers and gems need glue since the original glue dried up! Now that's old!!
MIUCB #3 - Anything Goes + optional twist of Distressing (ink or tool - or both) - I did both...distressed (tool and ink) the edges of patterned papers and inked the title.
Scrap Our Stash - Tic-Tac-Toe board - I used the top row.....Number-Colors (red, white, blue)-Twine.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments! Have a wonderful day!!
