Hello my scrappy friends! I hope you had a wonderfully Merry Christmas and are getting ready for New Year's Eve! My family and I had a great Christmas (thanks for being born Jesus!) with family and friends, lots of gifts were given and received and tons of food and desserts were eaten!
Not too much going on on my creative side but I was able to make a pretty quick card today for my mom's birthday in just two weeks!
I was inspired by several blogs when making this card. All of my stamps are STAMPlorations (Eclectic Florals, Frames and Flowers and Party Time) as are the cloud stencils (Clouds). The sun burst stencil is from Tim Holtz.
This card will be entered into the following blogs....go take a look!
Sketch~N~Scrap, #88 card sketch
Time Out challenges - #73 - inspired by words: 'With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning' My card is for a birthday...a new year of life.
Try Stampin' - #303 - card sketch
STAMPlorations -December Theme and Sketch - I went with the theme: stamps and collage.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comments! Be safe and enjoy New Year's Eve!
May 2017 be a wonderful year for you!!

#snowfun
Hello my scrappy friends! So much to do, how about you? Are you ready for Christmas? I have presents to wrap for my family - husband, kids, parents, sisters and their husbands, nieces, aunt, my just turned 98 year old grandmother who just wants some beer! Easy peasy on that one, and probably the least expensive!
In all of the Christmas festivities, I've apparently forgotten about my Lasting Memories GDT gig! The topic was Anything Goes but must be from 2016. Here is a LO of my son walking around in the snow earlier this year.
I'm also entering my LO into the following blog challenges:
SOS #283 - Winter Wonderland
Sketch-N-Scrap #119 - LO sketch
Connie Can Crop #53 - Baby It's Cold Outside
Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comments!
I'd like to wish you and yours a wonderfully Merry Christmas, a safe New Year's Eve and many blessings and happiness in 2017!

You are my Happy
Hello my scrappy friends! Quick post today...still have lots of Christmas cards to make! Here is the third challenge layout for my GD stint at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Blog. I made this the other day of my daughter's 6th family birthday party. That Purplious book? Yes! She's keeping it for her kids! So happy about that, we read it a bazillion times together! Sigh, I miss her being 6, she's 12 now....big difference, but love her just as much!
Lasting Memories - #323 - use only 4 photos
Sketches In Time sketch challenges #252 - The sketch provided this week is great but I just don't have tiny photos so I improvised!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments! Have a beautiful day!

Lasting Memories Guest Designer
Hello my scrappy friends! Lasting Memories blog has chosen it's December Guest Designer...me! This is my first time being a guest designer for a current blog and I'm happy to say that although it was "luck of draw" that I won, it's a pretty big honor. I love the challenges that they are hosting this month! Since I've been remiss in my blogging duties, I'll post the first two of this month's challenges right here.
We are taking on a "BEST OF 2016" theme to end our year with a bang. We have picked the most popular challenges and we are duplicating them in hopes you will love to challenge yourself again with these great themes!! So to start us off with our first challenge for December...
LM 321 - GLITTER and GLAM
This was based off of a challenge we did to honor THE OSCARS. So show us your sparkling and glittering layouts!!
LM - 322 - Use One Photo
We are taking on a "BEST OF 2016" theme to end our year with a bang. We have picked the most popular challenges and we are duplicating them in hopes you will love to challenge yourself again with these great themes!! So to start us off with our first challenge for December...
This is my baby girl at almost 6 months old, just shy by a few days. She is now 12! I used some scraps of patterned paper, a decorative border punch and two different stencils from STAMPlorations.
This challenge is from our "All About The Photos" theme from May. Just use one photo on your layout this week.
This LO is again of my baby girl, she's just not such a baby any longer! The arrow is pointing to her in this after school basketball team photo from this past spring when she was in sixth grade. Again, I used many scraps of paper for the circles, banners and basketball.
Hope you can submit your LO at Lasting Memories blog...you have until December 30th!
I'm also entering this One Photo LO into another challenge at....Stuck?! Sketches. This is the sketch:
Rather than a star for the background, I used banners that adorn the gym walls and circles on the side to represent the basketball.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Christmas Spirit
Hello my scrappy friends! It's been a long time since my last post! Life is busy...vacation to the VA with hiking and a trip to the Luray Caverns, school and the never ending homework and papers for the kids, business travel for the husband and everyday house chores, cooking, some work days and very little creative time for me! Granted, if I didn't watch so much TV I would have more time for making LOs and cards!
Here is one card I made today for a teacher, probably one of my daughter's since my son said he's not sure if he wants to give anything to his teachers this year...he's in 8th grade now and not many boys gave last year to the teachers. Guess I understand, I really don't like this growing up business :(
For this card I used some scrap patterned paper and stamps from Stampin' Up, Peaceful Pines, inks are from Stampin' Up and Close to my Heart. Pardon my tree stamping...it got a little messy!
Please take at look at all of these challenges I am entering! There are soooo many beautiful cards out there...plenty to inspire you! Happy stamping and creating!
Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - #91, winter wonderland - Christmas tree with presents...that's a winter wonderland for anyone receiving presents!
My Little Craft Blog - use a star - There are a few on my card!
AAA Cards, CAS Game #79 - Christmas
Kylie is Addicted to Stamps - 12 days of Christmas challenge
Less is More, #305 - Primary Colors
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Lots of Cards!
Hello my Scrappy friends! Quick post this morning as we have things to do on this beautiful Fall day!
First card is my my momma....she had knee surgery on her good knee...a whole new knee! Her bad knee was destroyed years ago in a car accident...that one will be replaced after healing from the good knee surgery. Poor thing! I'm so grateful that God has always given her a great disposition and wonderful outlook on life! I've learned a lot from her! On this "Ouch" card I used my Cricut Dr. Checkup cartridge that even though I've had for a few years, apparently I had never opened it! Stay tuned for more this this cute cartridge! The card sketch is inspired by Die Cutting Divas #290 sketch challenge.
This beauty of a card is for my friend's birthday . I thought the colors and tree stamp were perfect for a November birthday. This card was inspired by Connie Can Crop #52 challenge using orange and brown. These colors were also great for the Mixed Media Card Challenge #29 using Thanksgiving or gratitude theme. Although a birthday card, it shows my gratitude for her friendship. I used spray inks (so very hard to see) and stencil from STAMPlorations. The angle of the tag was inspired by Archi-Scraps blog.
My anniversary...18 years celebrated on Halloween! Using a Cricut cut from Celebrate with Flourish cartridge, this card will be entered into the Bitten by the Bug flourish challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting...see you soon!

Birthday and Halloween
Hello my scrappy friends! I've been super busy in real life this month so not too many things created. Very sad I know. I did, however, make a birthday card for my aunt and Halloween cards for my nieces. So, here we go...
This birthday card was inspired by a few challenges.
Damsel of Distress - raising awareness for domestic violence - used purple
Sketch-N-Scrap - card sketch - A fantastic sketch too which I'm sure I'll use in the future!
STAMPlorations never ending anything goes - using their stamps (party time)
This Halloween card was made for my 3 year old niece. This card was inspired by these blog challenges:
More Than Words - mini challenge using BOO
The Card Concept, #60 - chevrons pumpkins - I used chevrons in the background rather
then on the pumpkin.
This card was made for my other niece who is 7. I'm thinking the bat won't scare her like it might with the 3 year old...even though it's smiling and has pink cheeks! This card is being entered in these blog challenges:
STAMPlorations never ending anything goes - using their stamps (leaves)
Sketch-N-Scrap: Flashback Friday #3 - Although this card doesn't look it per se, it was
inspired by this sketch. I neglected to put some
layers of paper...I think I was in way too much of a
rush to get the card into the mail!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fun Halloween! Stay tuned for an anniversary card for my husband...18 years on Halloween!

Hello my scrappy friends! Today I unfortunately have a sympathy card to share. It's a little darker then I wanted it to be but the sentiment is there so I'm sending it.

This card will be entered into the following challenges....check them out!
STAMPlorations - stamps and sponging
PDE Linky Party - #141 - anything goes
Craft for the Craic - Autumnal Twist
Inkspirational Challenges - use 5 stamps
Thanks for taking a look and commenting! Have a Great day!!

Going UP!
Good morning my scrappy friends! It's so quiet in my house since the kids started school on Tuesday. So far, so good it seems for them. Hope it continues!
My LO today is about my son climbing up on the life guard stand after hours. These were the new stands after many years of the falling apart stands so we didn't allow the kids to climb on them in the past. They had so much fun and lots of photo ops so more of the same LOs are coming!
I still need to find the date of these photos...at least last year, perhaps the year before. I used several stamps from STAMPlorations and CTMH and a stencil from STAMPlorations. Various washi tapes were used as well ask inks. All papers are scraps except the back ground paper which is from DCWV stack: dots, stripes and plaids.
This layout is being entered into the following challenges:
STAMPlorations - Never Ending Challenge
Picture This! - Boys Rule - My LO features my son!
Creative Scrappers - #298 sketch
Scrapping Everyday Miracles - sketch challenge - by Bev Code
Sketch In Thyme - sketch #217
Lasting Memories - #309 - UP! - The theme for this month is direction. This week it's UP.
Whew, lots of links and challenges! thanks for taking a look at my layout and visiting all of these wonderful sites!!
Have a fantastic day!!

Working Hard
Good morning scrappy friends! Well, right night it's the middle of the night. Can't sleep so I'm drinking coffee and scrapping! Hope I can scrap a page or two later in the day as I'll be busy for the next two days with school meetings to become a substitute teacher and sleepovers and movies! Summer is ending too quickly for me....I'm going to miss my kids when they go back to school in two weeks! Wow, two weeks will be the first day of school!
Anyway....here is a LO I completed the other day. I don't really like it. I tried different things...writing on a very busy patterned papers, using a very busy patterned paper as the background, ugh...it's awful, and what's up with that inking circling the photos? It's like Jaws circle the boat! Just awful..nothing really matches, but it's going into the scrap album for my daughter. Not every thing I create am I going to love. That's life though, the possibility of disappointments and ugly things. My next LO won't be disappointing nor ugly...at least I hope not!
I'm entering this LO into these chalenges:
Scrap Our Stash - August Sketch + 3 - I used various manufacturers, washi tape and Xyron. I love the sketch that was provided so I'm sure I will use it again...and it will be prettier!
Lasting Memories - #307Summer Nights Photo Inspiration - Just love the colors provided!
Picture This! - Not so Picture Perfect - I wasn't thrilled with these pictures as I was taking them! My daughter was the furthest student from me, but at least I was able to take some photos of her learning self defense!
Thanks for stopping by~

Growing Strong
Hello my scrappy friends! Quick post this evening as I'm off to bed soon! We all seem to be quite tired for various reasons so it's an early night for the entire house! Perhaps I'll wake so refreshed I can get more then half of a layout completed during the day!
Here is a layout I created, more to come, about my daughter learning some self defense moves tow years ago. I used Cricut cartridges Robotz for the title and Art Philosophy for the arrows. Some STAMPlorations stamps were used for the circles, arrows and distressed edges.
This layout is going to be entered into the following challenges:
Stick It Down - single page sketch
Sketch-N-Scrap - Sketch #111 - love those arrows and layers!!
STAMPlorations Anything Goes - I used pieces from the Mixed Media Elements and the Mixed Media Grunge stamp sets.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Have a wonderful day!!
