Love That Face

Hello my scrappy friends!

A quick layout I created today.  My inspiration comes from Soul Scrappers challenge, LIFT23.  This is the LO we needed to lift:

Here is what I made:

I love the banners, the flower clusters although I used some circles and the layers.

Making IceCream

Hello my scrappy friends!

Another day off from school due to snow and ice!  I'm not complaining...we all needed it here at home.  Everyone is sick but me so you know what that means....I'm able to clean, cook, shovel, do dishes and sever everyone all by myself.  I don't mean to complain but I'm getting tired since this has been going on all week!  Good thing the couch in the basement is comfy for me to sleep on!  But, I think there is hope...I'm hearing more talking and laughing as I post.  Perhaps health is on it's way!

I did get to scrap a layout yesterday for a few challenges. My daughter is making ice cream while at my sister's house a few years ago for the 4th of July.   I used CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the circle mat in the background and CTMH letter stamps for the title.

I'm entering my layout in...
> Soul Scrappers STP1 challenge, Stirring the Pot where something is being made!  Some yummy ice cream!
> A new challenge blog from The Royal Castle Shoppe challenge using stamped words...hope my letters making words count for this challenge!
> Red Carpet Studios using a distressing technique.  I used spray ink and an edge distressor on the the photo mat.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting...time to make another LO before someone needs me!

Explore-Discover-Imagaine

Hello my scrappy friends!  I'm determined to make this month the month of my scrapping!  So far so good...of course it's only the 2nd of the month!  I have posted here on my blog in the past few days and it feels good and is a good start!

Today, I just finished a layout for a Soul Scrappers layout challenge. It ends in 13 minutes...nothing like just making it!  I also am going to enter this layout into the Scrap Our Stash challenge for the beginning of this month, the stash challenge #24 using the word STENCIL.  On my layout I used S-stencil; T-twine, tag; E-edging; N-Novmber die cut title; C-circle, compass; I-inks; L-letters.  I'm also entering this into Bitten by the Bug2 challenge site for using a Cricut cartridge that you have't used in at least 6 months.  I used my Camp Out and Country Life carts which haven't been used in more then 6 months!

Thanks for stopping by ~ have a fabulous evening!

A Little Note

Hello my scrappy friends!

I misplaced a gift card that was meant for my grandmother for Christmas.  Well, I've found it!  So, in order to mail it to her, I made a card.  Better late then never, right?!?

I grabbed my inspiration from STAMPlorations blog challenge...its new this year, called CASEplorations.  During certain weeks, you get to choose one, or more, posted cards you'd like to "copy" or "lift".  You have a few more days, till the 5th, to enter your submission for this challenge.  I chose this card made by Corneila since I loved the colors!  I was also inspired by Kamlia's card by slanting the rainbow ink colors.

My lift incorporated the colors and three word sentiment.   I used STAMPlorations leaf print stencil for my background using a rainbow of colors.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Stamps and Heart - STAMPlorations

Hello my friends!  I never posted this card I made for my daughter for St. Valentine's Day this year.  I'm entering it into the STAMPlorations blog February challenge: Stamps and Hearts.  Although I didn't use STAMPlorations stamps, I'm so happy I can still enter into the challenge!  The doily stamps are from Martha Stewart.  The sentiment I bought from Michael's or AC Moore years ago!  The heart is from CTMH called Stitched Together.

Thanks for stopping by...time for cuddles and TV with the family!

Seize the daisies with STAMPlorations

Hello my scrappy friends!  Today I made a card for a friend's daughter who didn't get into the school where she applied.  I'm sure most of us are familiar with the feeling of working so hard but still can't reach our goal.  She does have another year to try again so I wanted to let her know that things happen for a reason and perhaps next year will be her year!

I used the sketch from STAMPlorations blog, bi-weekly sketch challenge #28.  The challenge ends tonight but if you can make a quick card, you can enter!

The sketch:

My card:

I used Cricut cartridge Walk in my Garden for the flower and Pink by Design stamped sentiment from Life's a Garden.

Thanks for stopping by....now it's time to cuddle with my not-feeling-so-well daughter.

It's been a while!!

Well hello my scrappy friends! It's been a while since I've posted  which means its been a while since I've created something.  I've been working a full time job in the middle school since the beginning of January filling in for someone who had some pretty intense surgery.  My last day is tomorrow.  Not sure how I feel about leaving and going back to my "real" job as a lunch aide...less hours, less money, but I get to scrap more often and play with first and second graders on the play ground once again!  I just hope the weather warms up soon :)

I had a bit of time this morning to make a card for my kid's librarian at school  She has been out since almost the beginning of October with a cancer diagnosis.  My kids want her to know that they have been thinking of and praying for her.

I grabbed my sketch from STAMPlorations Blog bi-weekly sketch challenge #27 and the colors are from Red Carpet Studio challenge #90 using black, white and your choice.  I choose red for the third color on my card.

Here is my card using scraps of paper from my stash and STAMPlorations stamp set Typografia for my sentiment.  The border stamps in white...I forget who made them!

Thanks for stopping by!
With blessings~
