Hello my scrappy friends! Just a quick post today. Laundry is being washed, I'm scrapping, hubby is watching TV, son is playing video games and daughter is visiting all of us in between cleaning her room. A nice easy Sunday afternoon!
My daughter is going to a party tomorrow night for her girlfriend's 11th birthday. I made a quick card with stamping and heat embossing.
Although this card is for a girl she's not a girly girl, hence the darker colors. I was inspired by the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers blog, challenge #34, Steampunk. The stamps I used are called Steampunk Gears by Stampendous. The circle stamps on the green banner are from CTMH. The colors are inspired by Scrapping Everyday Miracles Birthday Bash Challenge #5 Color Inspiration. The colors are black, white, blue, green, and brown. Lastly, I love using layers and although there aren't too many on this card, I was inspired by Turtle Soup's challenge from 9/15, Tools, Tips and Techniques.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments!
Enjoy your Sunday~

September Birthday
Hello again my scrappy friends!
I just finished a birthday card for my brother-in-law. I tried a new technique for me, masking and layered stamps. I'm happy with how the card turned out but I know I need to practice more. I used retired stamps from Stampin' Up for the trees. It feels weird to make an autumn card when it's still shorts and pool weather! Next year I'll make more of a summer feel card.
I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
> AAA cards, #48 autumn color with a twist of fabric (I used ribbon)
> Connie Can Crop, #38 color challenge
> Paper Pals Arts, color challenge
Thanks for your comments!

Oh POOP!
Hello my scrappy friends! I've made some cards this weekend, pretty much ignoring my family. But I did have permission from hubby and the kids! Right now, they are playing some creative Lego game and laughing up a storm. I do miss playing with them but I'll catch them later today or the next time a game is pulled out.
My sister will be 39 this week so, of course, I had to make a sarcastic card! I found a card image online that was perfect when I searched "turning39". I know she will laugh when she receives this :) I chose to use the cleaner "poop" word for the title since my kids are around!
I used the Cricut Don Juan cartridge for the letters/numbers and a stamp from my stash for the happy birthday. Various scraps of paper and ribbon were used to make this card.
I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
> Hiding in my Craft Room
> Always Playing with Paper

Messy birthday card
Hello my scrappy friends! Hope everyone is enjoying Labor Day weekend!
I've gotten a little scrappy time this afternoon after food shopping and some cleaning earlier today. My brother-in-law's birthday is next week, two days before his wife---my sister. Her card will be made later today or later this week.
I've used a challenge sketch from Turtle Soup blog. It's a fantastic sketch made by Bev Code. You should really check out her blog. I've used the open challenge and stamps from STAMPlorations - the happy birthday and color blocks -and from My Sentiments Exactly for the graphic background of lines and circles.
Here is my card, turned to a portrait rather then landscape outline.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Enjoy your evening!
