Love My Pretty Girl

Hello my scrappy friends!  Here is a layout I made for two August Challenges!

I used Scrap Our Stash Sketch Challenge for the sketch.

I also used Scrappy Friends Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for my embellishments.

For Scrap Our Stash, I used stripped paper (the background paper) and ink splatters on my layout.  For the Scrappy Friends, I used the bottom row - banner, stripes, enamel dots.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting!  these challenges are open until at least August 29th.

Have a lovely day,
~Jennifer

The Girls

Hello again my scrappy friends!  I've been a little busy scrapping this week with Paper Issues on Facebook!  So many challenges, so much fun.  I created this LO for one of the sketch challenges and as I was looking for things to create in my stash, I came across Festive Friday Challenge #FF00066.  Perfect items to use for my layout!!

From this list, I used bright colors, heart (I used so many made from my Cricut), flowers, uplifting sentiment, and sparkle.

You have one more week to enter your project to this challenge!  Good luck!

Have a lovely evening and thanks for your comments!

11th birthday card

Hello my scrappy friends!    Last week of August...kinda got here before I knew it!  Things are so different this year so I'm not complaining, just glad my family and friends are healthy.

Here is a card I made for my niece who will be 11 years old next Monday, we are celebrating on Saturday.  Hoping the weather is nice since my sister has a pool...and I don't want to be stuck inside with lots of people!

My card is going to be submitted to Stick It Down August card challenge

And the sketch:

This challenges ends next Monday, August 31, so go make a card and enter!

Have a great week~

Adventures

Hello my scrappy friends!  My oldest turned 18 yesterday...18 years old!!  How?  Why?  HOW???  So fast!  At least I still have pictures of him in the past that I can scrap...you know, when he smiled for the camera without me having to ask a few times, when he wasn't so in a rush to run out to see friends, when he didn't need to work, when I saw him in the early mornings not close to noon!  My baby isn't such a baby anymore.  One more year of high school at least so I can see him everyday!!

OK, sorry about that!  Yesterday was hard, today is better.

Here is my layout from a vacation in 2013 when some family friends joined us for two day in the Poconos.

I was inspired by two places...Scrap Our Stash and YouTube's Mixed Media Frenzy from 8/7/2020.  I used the sketch from Mixed Media Frenzy...it's so different from anything I usually make and I just loved it!   Scrap Our Stash "Dog Days of Summer challenge was perfect for my summer vacation pictures.  You have to use either a sun embellishment or sun patterned paper.  I made my own pp for the photo mats using yellow paper and a sun stamp. It's so hard to see in this post but it's there, I promise!!  I love making my own pp when ever I can!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  Have a fantastic  week!

Let's Jump

Hello my scrappy friends!  Here is a LO I made during the course of one week.  Not sure why, but I just wasn't feeling scrappy.  I finished this yesterday and really love the way it came out.  Always nervous when I try something new, but I'm glad I did using gesso, inks, watercolors, stamps, stencils...I tried it all!

I'll be entering this LO into the following challenges:

Let's Get Sketchy - I love the sketch we were given!!

Festive Friday Challenge #FF0063
Festive Challenge #FF0063 - I used pink, green, die cuts, polka dots.

Bitten by the Bug 2Bitten by the Bug 2 - In The Stars - I used Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge for the stars.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  You have plenty of time to add your creations to these blog challenges!

Stay safe and enjoy life~
