Hello my scrappy friends! Yesterday the house was clean, we had plenty of leftovers for lunch and dinner and just a bit of laundry needed to be washed...so I started a two page layout, finished it this morning! I started with lots of spray inks, regular inks, smooching inked paper, then covered most of it! So I added a few more ink spots, not sure I like it all but it's two pages completed!
This was the first day of school in 2014 when my son was entering 6th grade and my daughter into 5th grade. Two different schools, two different bus times for pick up! Both of these pages were inspired by several different challenges.
Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge - use circles...on my 2nd page.
Sketches in Thyme - #288 - my first page
Sketches in Thyme - #290 - my second page...very loosely based but it started as my inspiration!
Lasting Memories - #359 - Polka Dots - On the pp used as photos mats on page two...yes they are covered but there is a tiny banner piece in the upper left corner! There is also a little piece of dotted pp on the first page under the heart paper.
Use Your Stuff - Back to School, Back to Work - Back to School is the subject of my LO!

Little C's Creations - use medallions - My pp on the 2nd page has medallions/doilies.
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!!
Have a wonderful day~

Hello my scrappy friends! My niece's 8th birthday party is tomorrow so of course a card had to be made! I used SU! Cool Treats for the sentiment and ice cream cones. The streamers on the inside panel are from SU! Balloon Adventures.
The color combinations were fun to use! The ice creams are Flirty Flamingo/Watermelon Wonder - Pool party/Bermuda Bay - Peekaboo Peach/Calypso Coral and the cones are Tip Top Taupe/Early Espresso.
This card is entered into these challeges:
Stick It Down - card sketch challenge
Use Your Stuff - New Beginnings - An 8th birthday is a new beginning to my niece!
Paper Play Sketches - Color Challenge
Die Cuttin Divas - Birthday Celebration
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!! Have a FANTASTIC weekend!!!

Hello my scrappy friends! Quick post this evening since I'm tired. House is clean, ready for my son's 15th family birthday party on Saturday. 15...how did that happen?!?
This card is for a friend who lost her husband last month. I want to make her and her teenage daughter a card each month for a while, just so they know that someone is always thinking of them.
I used my SU! Tranquil Tulips stamps set for the tulips (obviously!), Avant-Garden for the dots all around the card, and Orange Blossom for the sentiment...the entire sentiment reads "out of sight....but never our of mind".
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Paper Play Sketches: Color Challenge -- Green and purple for the stems and flowers, yellow/orange for the dots all around the card.
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge: #224 sketch -- Loosely based on this sketch...it sort of got away from me but this sketch inspired me to make this card.

Hello my scrappy friends! Our kitchen is being painted this week...started today, ends on Wednesday. lots of prep work though first and that is a lot of today. To say out of the way, I'm scrapping away in the basement while my kids play, currently taking a break on their phones.
My layout of my grandma from December 2014. As you can clearly see, she turned 96 years old when this photo was taken. We were just about to go out to dinner to celebrate! Now 98 years old, she was in the hospital for just about 2 weeks. She is home now with a huge contraption for oxygen. We are hoping we can celebrate her 99th birthday in a few months.
I used a few stamps from my stash, some ink drops from spray ink bottles and several pieces of patterned papers...I think most were Simple Stories. I used my "George and Basic Shapes" Cricut cartridge for the star. This layout will be entered into Sketch-N-Scrap blog challenge #133.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Have a lovely day~

Hello my scrappy friends! A quick entry today as we wait for a new dishwasher to be delivered...any minute now!
Here are some pictures of my daughter reading on her beanbag chair - we just threw it away :( as it started getting holes! - a few years ago. Miss the days when both of my children would sit and read for at least an hour each day.
I'm entering my LO into the Let's Get Sketchy July 1st Sketch and Mood Board challenge. I have 3 photos rather then 4 and the mood board elements are the red and blue colors.
Thanks for checking out my page and commenting!

Hello my scrappy friends! A quick card here for you today. Recently a scrappy friend and her 17 years old daughter lost their husband and father. I'm still reeling from the loss, the anguish, the loss of words for them. I find myself worried beyond belief when my husband travels, which is often. I find myself hugging longing and expressing my love for others often, especially my kids, who I think, are getting a little tired of the love. Teens, you know! But I think they understand, for which I am most grateful.
I've finally decided upon a card, colors, sentiment for a card to express my love for my friend. I've used SU! stamps Orange Blossom, SU! Fresh Flowers pp and SU! Ombre Ribbon. Finally using some SU! stash!
I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
Stick it Down - card challenge - card sketch
Sketch-N-Scrap - card #101 - card sketch
Always Playing with Paper - Challenge #90 (Inspirations) - The flowers and colors were my inspiration...just so pretty!!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Make sure to love and hug your family as often as possible, you won't regret it!
